Well, the day finally came.
This past saturday, I had the piano I purchased about a month and a half ago moved to the new place. I had to postpone the move a few weeks so that some work around the house could be completed prior to its arrival…but it was well worth it.
The movers arrived in Canton at around 9:15 AM. The piano was disassembled, driven to Dorchester, craned to the 2nd floor, and reassembled by 10:45AM That’s pretty incredible if you ask me (efficient movers…I suggest anyone moving a piano around Boston contact “Deathwish Piano Movers”)
After they got it set up, I sat down and didn’t stop playing until well into the night. My roomate and I redid the entire room into a music haven…a drum set, amps, guitars on the wall soon. By far my favorite room in the house.
The piano is a Kawai RX-2, 5′10 Grand
Having something you dream about getting happen, at such an early age compared to most musicians I’ve spoken with, its incredible. I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering help and support of my parents. No number of “thank yous” can suffice. It took a few days to settle in. I walked in from work yesterday afternoon, having almost forgotten I had that thing sitting across the room…and I was floored.
If anyone ever wants to hear it, just give me a shout and I’ll give you a concert
